I travel for business about 40% of the year and am a Marriott Rewards member and the Frenchmen's Reef is by FAR the worst Marriott that I have ever stayed at. I stayed there for 2 weeks in August when I was in St. Thomas for work. The hotel loses power almost daily, tv. goes out daily, the pools are... more

We stayed at the Marriott from August 9th to 14th, 2008. We had a reservation for a "resort view" room. When we finally were allowed in our room (4pm), we found that we had the room next to the elevator, and the window opened up to the roof drain lines. No view of anything. Not acceptable at all. The explanation... more

We stayed at the Morning Star for a week on the all-inclusive plan for our honeymoon. We are so glad we didn't listen to the reviews because we had an amazing time. The main hotel did look kind of dated and smelled moldy but where we stayed down at the MorningStar room facing the beach was very nice. Our room... more

property seemed tired. stayed in the main building, the morning star complex seemed nicer. has a good beach. airconditioning units were very weak. we had ours replaced and it still wouldn't get the room cool. good activities on premises. more

We just stayed at the Morning Star Resort and had a great experience. The beach was superb. The rooms were large but in some need of repair. The staff was extremely friendly and always helpful. We ate at Coco Joe's twice. We enjoyed the Caribbean buffet more than the Seafood (they were having difficulty keeping the food stocked). All in... more

My wife and I were married in St. Thomas and stayed at this hotel while we were there and absolutely loved it. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurants, if you're willing to spend the money, are outstanding with excellent service. There's a very convenient and relaxing restaruant right on the beach by the hotel called Coco... more

My husband and I visited the resort while on a business trip with his company. While the grounds were beautiful, I honestly can't tell you one other good thing about this place. Oh, I forgot, I had a really good salad one day, but after waiting 1.5 hours for food, anything tastes good. Which brings me to the downfall of... more

This hotel is the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Very much in need of a major renovation with terrible service and awuul food and of course terrible and loud crowds. Stuff at the resort are AWFUL - we couldn’t get our room even 5 min before 4pm check in time and the attitude was unbearable. I would strongly... more

We stayed at the Morning Star Resort and the best thing about the Resort is the location on the beach. But the service was not well at all. I did expect some 'island' time to happen and we were fine with that, but to wait for 3 hours for dinner is unexpectable. And the beach has no drink service, the... more

Stayed at the Morning Star Beach Resort in July '08 with my husband and two kids, 7 and 3. We had a fabulous stay! The beach is gorgeous and views are stunning. I found the staff to be friendly, but I am used to staying in the Caribbean and understand that service is usually slow and sometimes people can be... more
