Le Soliel is just a gorgeous hotel. We stayed for 4 nights in early August. The location is excellent, a quick stroll to Robson street, canada place, gastown, coal harbour. It is about 20 minutes walk to Stanley Park and to the Granville Ferries. The room decor might not be to everyones taste, and I certainly wouldn't want my home... more

This hotel with all its little touches is a great stay. The staff is extremely friendly and the rooms have most of the amenities. The rooms are decent size and the beds with feather pillows and comforters are very comfortable. The location is downtown so on the weekends there’s not much going on, but the city is small enough that... more

A slightly disappointing second visit to this hotel (the first one was in 2006). The room was adequate - we had a suite. Although the individual parts were quite small it was nice to have a separate sitting area. The restaurant was disappointing this time - the breakfast was better in 2006 and the dinner that we had there this... more

My husband and I stayed at this lovely little boutique hotel last weekend and we both agreed it was just right. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and quiet, and the central location extremely handy. We also appreciated the complementary water and green apples at the front desk -- very handy. The room was not extremely large... more

the hotel is a little hard to find, but worth the effort! we had never before had a concierge order us a special, "on the house" appetizer after making our dinner reservation. the staff went over and above expectations. everyone is so well coached- from the maintenance man in the elevator to the valet parking the car. the rooms could... more

I agree with the recent posts. I paid $250/ night + taxes for the lowest tier of rooms available (tiny room, king bed only). The room itself was moderately dated, with an old-school bedspread (Note - Who uses bedspreads anymore? Everyone has white duvet covers now !!!). I was on the 9th floor and looked directly into the YMCA daycare... more

My stay at Le Soleil was pleasant but nothing spectacular. Again, was in town for business and wanted a downtown location. I had a deluxe room and it was spacious with a living room. Amenities are sparse - no room service or facilities (I arrived late in the evening and was fending for myself trying to find food - McD's... more

We came back from a 4 night stay at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. We had a two room suite (11th floor) with a pull out bed in one room and two twin beds in the other, the bathroom was between the two rooms which worked out well. The room was clean and adequate for the 3 of us... more

Considering this hotel charges at it's high season a minimum of $300 per night it's rather amusing how people seem to rank this hotel up there with the likes of some of Vancouver's best places to stay. First of all, Le Soleil has practically nothing in the way of amenities beyond the standard concierge service, wireless internet access and a... more

I stayed at this hotel for a Friday & Saturday night for a special occasion with my wife. We had a regular room (not a jr. suite or suite) and the room was a nice size and clean. The view wasn't great, looking out from the back of the building and over the back of a bistro behind the building,... more
