I stayed here with a number of staff and found the amenities to be more than adequate. Getting in the front entrance of the hotel with a car is a little tricky but most folk used the valet parking so no problem. This is the best hotel in Munich on the nicest street of this beautiful town. Right in the center, 2 minutes (walking) from the Opera, great shops left and right and last but not least: the Hofbrauhaus is just two streets away. I picked Kempinski purely based on location - just about as close to the Marienplatz as you can get and 1 block from Hofbrauhaus. Since we were traveling during the COLD (never above 27F) for the Christmas markets, this did turn out to be a perfect spot since you want to be old in that cold as shortly as possible.... more

i have stayed at this hotel twice in the past month. my first visit was fine, fabulous location and room (superior suite) was pleasant...spacious with a good bathroom but nothing special. the lobby area is very buzzing and would be great apart from the heavy smoking which makes it less enjoyable (unless you're a smoker of course!). the breakfast set... more
