Family of 4, 4yo and 9yo vacationed at the lodge from 8-3 to 8-8. For a large resort it was comfortable and a retreat from the overcrowded parks. The parks were so crowded. We were upgraded to a fantastic courtyard view room. We were in 5015. The noise from the pool was minimal. If you plan on sleeping in early... more

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is charming and relaxing! If you like the big, wide open spaces of nature, you will feel right at home. While this isn't my favorite Disney resort, it isn't because of the resort...nature/woods just isn't my cup of tea! It greatly resembles the Animal Kingdom Lodge without the aromas and theming. The grounds are beautiful and you... more

The Wilderness Resort was my favorite so far. This was our fourth time coming to Disney. We stayed from Aug.1 thru Aug.6th. Just got home 2 days ago. We got to the Resort a few hours before the 4:00 check in time. Normally you can never get your room early anywhere else but they had a room ready for us.WOW... more

We were a family of 4 staying at this hotel. Rooms were comfortable for 2 adults/2 children. Room was clean and quiet. Lovely structure and so many interesting features in the lobby and surrounding outside area of property. Pool was wonderful. Great waterslide for children. However, that restaurant in the lobby -- Whispering Canyon -- was another story. Very expensive... more

We loved the Wilderness Lodge. The hotel and grounds are outstanding. The staff members were friendly and helpful, everything that you would expect of a Disney property. We could have spent a wonderful one week vacation here and never went to a theme park. There were lots of places in the "public spaces" where you could sit by a fireplace,... more

First of all, I want to say that we have stayed in every resort at Walt Disney World, except the vacation clubs, and the Wilderness Lodge is still our favorite. This was our third time staying at the Wilderness Lodge, and once again, we were very pleased. The hotel is simply beautiful, and the lobby is amazing. One of my... more

Stayed here for 2 weeks from July 10th - 24th after a week at the Royal Plaza Hotel near Downtown Disney. As soon as you arrive in the grounds and the hotel, you notice the difference (even though we did enjoy the other hotel). Upon arrival our luggage was taken into the hotel while we checked in. We arrived around... more

My wife and I went for an anniversary trip to the Wilderness Lodge. We really wanted to see the lodge and it is really impressive. We did have a complaint with our treatment when we first arrived. The bed in the room they gave us was in terrible shape totally broken down and not what you would expect in a... more
