Ok-first the good -- great pools! Wow! Lazy river goes all over the place. Place is beautiful and you can use the Ritz. However, our teens wanted to run back to JW .. definitely nicer pools. Lunch about $15 wrap/burger..$7 smoothies (non-alcohol). Expensive but convenient if you are at poolside. Now, after reading previous reviews about the theft. We were... more
Just returned from a meeting held at the JW Marriott. I had previously stayed at the Ritz on the same property a few years ago. The resort is absolutely beautiful and staff friendly. Would come again. Rooms were first rate. I do not have any kids so I am not as concerned as I would be if I had children... more
The resort is great overall. We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days (7/6 to 7/10) with a group of 4 adults and 4 kids (including 2 toddlers) and a good time was had by all. This was our third visit to this property and it is still absolutely beautiful. The pool is delightfully warm with a lazy river that... more
This was my second stay at this Hotel within 6months. My stay before that was at the Ritz Carlton next door. The JW Marriott is not only equal in value/service, it is OUTSTANDING as a family resort. Stay at the Ritz if you want a smaller/refined/no kids vacation. But go to the JW if you and your family want to... more
We stayed at the Ritz Carlton which is attached to the JW Marriott. We were traveling with a toddler so we spent more time on the JW Marriott property because it was much more kid-friendly. Things to note: There is NO security anywhere and local Floridians come and use the facilities. We have stayed at many Ritz Carltons before and... more
Dear future guests: My family travels quite a bit. This hotel was exquisite. We went as a family. The children wanted to stay another day at the pool vs. a theme park. Children loved the lazy river and activities. The lobby was beautiful. The rooms were immaculate and the bathrooms were extremely spacious. Room service was twice a day. We... more
Stayed here for half of my homeymoon. (1st half was in Key West) Arrived on July 4th (Independence Day) and we were treated to a room upgrade so we could view the AMAZING fireworks over the golf course from the room balcony. The fireworks were probably the best I've ever seen, plus because we were on floor #14, we could... more
We just returned from a weekend in Orlando, and needless to say, I was not impressed with the JW. The grounds are beautiful, it smells pleasant upon entry (candles are nice), and the staff is pleasant. That is it.....the room we were in smelled and was humid each time we were gone from the room and returned. Not something you... more
I stayed a week with my adult daughter. The property is beautiful with an exceptional pool (lazy river) which was overcrowded and needed cleaning. Our room 3051 was rather small but very nice with comfortable beds and great TV. Our bathroom, however, smelled bad the entire time , had peeling wallpaper and a leaky shower that flooded the floor. I... more
