An amazing honeymoonMy husband and I stayed at this hotel with another couple in July. We cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. The rooms were great with alot of charm. The staff was fantastic and always friendly. We would love to stay here again! more
Great architecture for a hotel, and it does look like a former bank still; great marble and woodwork. Staff was great - they gave me a room with a view of the harbor. Large king room with good internet access. Bose radios in the rooms. I didn't use the restaurant but there is one and the bar looked pretty active... more
My family and I have stayed at this hotel for the past few years while attending San Diego Comic Con and we have never been disappointed. It is located on the edge of the Gaslamp District, with access to plenty of eating places and entertainment. It is also a short walk to the convention center. What we have always appreciated... more
We loved staying at this downtown high-rise Courtyard, near San Diego's Gaslamp district and Horton Plaza shopping. The hotel is a well-preserved bank built in 1928. Like other reviewers have said, the Reception counter and other parts of the lobby are made up of old marble Teller windows. One must go down to the "Safe Deposit" level and peek into... more
Nice hotel in downtown San Diego. Would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling into San Diego for business and with family. Not a super luxurious hotel but a nice little twist for being an old bank. Everyone was friendly and professional. I give it an A+ more
The Courtyard is a coverted bank building, so it does retain some of the bank charm with the reception desk very teller-esque. I stayed at the hotel on business for two nights. I arrived around noon and there were no rooms ready. However, the front desk clerk asked if I had had lunch yet and when I said no, she... more
My husband and I chose to stay here based on the location, we were very happy with our decision! This hotel was awesome, loved how it is sooo full of historic value! The staff is very friendly and accomadating.....Free computer access in the lobby was great too. more
When i arrived, and walked in, I knew that prior to arriving I would expect to see a renovated bank. Thats exactly what I got. BUT i love the uniqueness of it. I appreciate the work of a company that takes the time to renovate but not remove all the original aspects of the building. The service was excellent. If... more
We stayed in this Marriott for 3 nights. My wife had a conference in San Diego Convention center and she booked the hotel through her conference website. We did not have much expectation from this provided our past experience with another Marriott (at Biscayne Bay, Miami). We arrived a little earlier than normal check-in time (around 2 pm) but the... more
I spent 2 nights there earlier this month. The hotel is in a very convenient location in the center of downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are many good restaurants in the Gaslamp Quarter a few blocks away. The room was quite comfortable. Since this is an older building that has been renovated, the property had more charm... more
